Writer's picture: Patricia BrickerPatricia Bricker

If you can spare a day, Penn HOSA is seeking clinical and non-clinical volunteers to judge student competitions at its Annual Leadership Conference, March 30 – April 1 at the Valley Forge Casino in King of Prussia, PA.

Penn HOSA is the state affiliate of the national HOSA-Future Health Professionals career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education. It supports more than 3,700 Pennsylvania middle school, secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education programs in 110 local chartered chapters.

Competitive events include dental, medical, and nursing assisting, emergency preparedness, persuasive writing and speaking, job seeking and interview skills, and team-based debate, quiz bowl, and health career displays. State event winners compete at the International HOSA Leadership Conference in June.

If you are able to volunteer as a judge, please send your name, email address, and a brief description of your professional background to Penn HOSA Executive Director/State Advisor Walt Slauch at wslauchhosa@gmail.com to facilitate your placement in the appropriate event.
