Pennsylvania has a new collaborative working to advance and support the profession of community health workers. The Pennsylvania Community Health Worker Collaborative (PACHW) became an official nonprofit in 2023 and now has nearly 400 members including community health workers (CHWs), CHW employers, stakeholders, funders, and health plans.
The PACHW has launched a new statewide website that describes its priorities of increasing awareness of CHWs, sustainable financing for CHW positions, career ladders for CHWs to advance and develop professionally, and empowering CHWs.
CHWs, employers, allies, health plans, and others can join the PACHW through the new website.
