Writer's picture: Patricia BrickerPatricia Bricker

Southeast Pennsylvania AHEC is helping to recruit community health workers (CHWs) in Pennsylvania for a research study on providing oral health support for Black families.

The study is evaluating the prototype of GRIN (Guardians Receiving Information through Navigators), a training program for CHWs to conduct oral health outreach with underserved (e.g., limited access to health care providers) and/or low-resource (e.g., low-income) Black parents/guardians of children and adolescents.

Participating CHWs will complete two online surveys. Some participants will also complete two online GRIN modules.

To sign up for the study or for more information, contact study lead Morgan Fleming at KDH Research & Communication, based in Atlanta, GA.
